SummerSlam Complete. What is next?
SummerSlam 2024 took place in Cleveland, Ohio, the home of the NFL's Cleveland Browns. Here are the results and prediction of its aftermath:
1. The Undisputed WWE Championship - Cody Rhodes retained his title against Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules Match. It just happened that Roman Reigns came to aid and speared Sikoa.
(*) With the return of Roman Reigns, his actions counters all the drama Sikoa created in his absence. The shot was heard around the world when Reigns speared Sikoa, allowing Rhodes to take the victory. The Bloodline Civil War has begun. The question is how long will the WWE fans wait to the family splits into two teams. I expect Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso to return and stand by Roman Reigns. Also, with Sami Zayn losing his Intercontinental title, he and Jey Uso can form a tag team and join Reigns. However, Jey and Sami may take time to join the party. On the other hand, Jacob Fatu apparently injured himself during the assault on Rhodes. The bloodline has a way of recruiting more superstars within the family. It is a matter of time which superstar will be added.
2. World Heavyweight Championship - For the first time, Damian Priest fought like a real champion. Priest had Gunther's number. However, Gunther defeated Damian Priest by submission to become the new champion, with Finn Balor interfering to aid Gunther.
(*) The Judgment Day is no more. Damian Priest will set his revenge on Finn Balor. However, there will be obstacles and numbers game. Balor has JD McDonagh with Carlito. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan could be the added factors to create a new name faction. On the other side, Gunther will await to defend his title to a possible number one contender. Drew McIntyre is the number one contender at this point without an internal tournament.
3. WWE Women's World Championship - Liv Morgan retained her title against Rhea Ripley with the assist by Dominik Mysterio. Dominik would kiss Morgan after the match dismissing Ripley. He pulled an Eddie Guerrero move.
(*) The story between Morgan and Ripley will not stop. Dominik will be in the middle of the story. While Ripley will manage to get another shot at the title, who will step up against Dominik? Could Ripley make mends with Rey Mysterio? This story will only get hotter, more hotter than SummerSlam.
4. WWE Women's Championship - The Queen Nia Jax defeated Bayley. Although Tiffany Stratton came out to cause a distraction, it was time for Nia Jax to win the title.
(*) Bayley's time is officially over for the title. Other female superstars will want a shot. One of the favorites could be anyone from Damage CTRL, Michin, Naomi, or Piper Niven.
5. WWE United States Championship - LA Knight defeated Logan Paul.
(*) LA Knight can issue a US challenge. Expect either Carmelo Hayes, Austin Theory, or Grayson Waller in the mix for a title opportunity.
6. WWE Intercontinental Championship - Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn to become the new champion.
(*) It is unknown as to who will step up to Breakker. With Zayn losing the title, Jey Uso could be a probable opponent unless Ilja Dragonov is medically cleared for action.
7. CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre - McIntyre merged victorious, with Seth Rollins serving as the special guest referee. Punk had a moment to win by pin fall but Rollins was not in position to count to three. Despite the outcome, there can be many possibilities for the next premium live event.
(*) - Drew McIntyre may dismiss CM Punk a match and go after Gunther for the World Title.

-A ladders match. The winner becomes the new number one contender and take on Gunther.
