Hidden Agendas causes hardship between two superstars; Cody Rhodes tops Kevin Owens

12/14/2024

Kevin Owens trusted Cody Rhodes for the longest time.  He respected his beliefs but all vanished when the American Nightmare teamed up with his rival, the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.  This is definitely an emotionally complex and narratively intriguing.  But why is there a misunderstanding on both sides?

Hidden Agenda: Cody Rhodes may have a secret plan or have good morals.  Perhaps he sees that aligning with your enemy or rival is a mean to protect Owens or settle the tensions of a long battle from the past two WrestleMania events.

Shared Goals: Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have a common enemy known as the current Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa and his new members of the Bloodline.  They both achieved a mutually beneficial outcome of victory.  However, both agreed it was only a one time deal.

Misunderstanding: Owens feels that Rhodes deceived him from all the battles he suffered from Roman Reigns and his Bloodline.  Clearly, Rhodes may not have thought things through and could had addressed the situation better.

Saturday's Main Event: Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain the WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship.
